Our Towns
Camden County
encompasses almost 630 square miles. The area
is made up of the towns of Kingsland, St. Marys and
Woodbine; and the Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base, the
US Navy's home port to the Atlantic TRIDENT Submarine
fleet. With
a population near 50,000 today, Camden County (named
after Charles Pratt, Earl of Camden England) dates
back to its incorporation as the second organized county
in Georgia back in February of 1777.
